Yes. To lift up the tonneau cover, lower the tailgate and lift up the cover. The cover does not have lift support shocks, which makes it much easier to remove it.
How does it lock?
A strike plate is attached to the inside face of the tailgate. The lock of the tonneau cover then locks into the strike plate.
How hard is it to remove?
The cover is removed quickly and easily, without tools. Simply unlock it, remove the back cover (32 lbs), then remove the front cover (10 lbs).
How does the cover stay secure during faster driving, such as on the freeway?
Combined with it's inset design, secure fit and locking mechanism, the cover stays in place even at highway speeds. The cover will also improve the gas mileage by reducing the wind resistance in the back of hte vehicle.
