The task-specific tools general sets do not cover: pullers and separators, bolt and screw extractors, tap and die sets, cylinder hones, thread chasers, piston ring installers, nut splitters, exhaust spring tools and specialty picks for engine, brake and driveline work.

Specialty tools earn their shelf space the first time a general tool cannot do the job: a puller that removes a bearing without damage, an extractor that backs out a snapped bolt, or a hone that restores a cylinder bore. Check the tool's size range against your application before ordering.
